Fulham boss, Martin Jol, has once again left Clint Dempsey out of his squad for their forthcoming visit to Old Trafford where they will play Manchester United. The 29 year old forward seems desperate to join Liverpool having heard of their interest which has frustrated Jol as he claims there has been ‘no formal bid on the table and nothing has changed’.
SkySports.com claim that the chances of Adam leaving Liverpool are slim with Rodgers playing down talk of an Anfield exit. Rodgers is said to be somewhat of an admirer of the Scotland international, even admitting to having once attempted to sign him whilst managing Reading.
Brendan Rodgers has backtracked on his previous stance regarding Andy Carroll claiming that he would ‘be a nutcase’ if he let him leave the club on loan. The Liverpool manager told the Guardian ‘There is absolutely no chance [of a loan deal] – and certainly not Newcastle.’ A number of clubs have expressed an interest in buying the £35 million striker who is in the squad for Liverpool’s Europa League tie against Hearts.
Despite Manchester City’s apparent interest, Daniel Agger looks set to remain at Anfield, according to Brendan Rodgers. Agger has expressed a desire to remain at Liverpool that will only be reconsidered if Barcelona want him.

And finally, Joey Barton has called out Liverpool on Twitter, ranting that the families of the 96 Hillsborough dead feel the club need to do more to support them. Barton claimed funds for a memorial had been put up by Liverpool City Council, a supporters group, but nothing from the club themselves, and called on them to do more.
