Stan Collymore has praised Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas on Twitter and believes that he is the perfect back-up to Andy Robertson.
Collymore made the comments about Tsimikas while discussing what Liverpool need to do to reclaim the Premier League title from Manchester City.
The former Liverpool striker believes that manager Jurgen Klopp needs a very strong second XI.
Collymore has outlined how Kostas Tsimikas – who cost Liverpool £11.75 million in transfer fees in the summer of 2020 (Sky Sports) – is the perfect back-up to Robertson.
Kostas Tsimikas playing well for Liverpool
In our view, Kostas Tsimikas is playing well for Liverpool at the moment and is proving his worth.
It was hard for the Greece international last season.
But we have to remember that the 25-year-old left-back had injury issues.
It can also take a while for players to fully grasp manager Klopp’s Liverpool system.

However, now that Tsimikas is up to speed, he is doing extremely well for Liverpool.
The 25-year-old has stepped up in the absence of Robertson.
And, in our opinion, Liverpool have not really missed Robertson when Tsimikas has played in his place.
The Liverpool no. 21 has made six starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League so far this season, providing one assist in the process.
Tsimikas has also made three appearances in the Champions League and has played thrice in the Carabao Cup.
