Liverpool want Konrad Laimer and the RB Leipzig star is understood to be interested in making a move to the Premier League.
The Reds just can’t seem to string together consistent results under Jurgen Klopp this season.
The overwhelming feeling is that this Liverpool team has now met the end of their cycle and more quality signings are needed.
Liverpool’s biggest problem has been their midfield and it’s time for some fresh legs to enter the engine room.

Liverpool want Konrad Laimer
One name that must be appealing is RB Leipzig star Konrad Laimer.
The Austrian is out of contract at the end of the season and may be available for a knockdown price in January.
There have been no indications of Laimer signing a new deal with Leipzig and the contract rebel is now expected to leave.
Laimer is only 25, has a relentless approach to the game and has even played as a right back or right wing back, meaning he can cover areas vacated by Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Add in that Laimer grew up idolising Steven Gerrard and he starts to feel like the ideal signing for Liverpool.
Sky Sports now report that Liverpool do have Laimer on their wish list for the January transfer window.
They add that Laimer is interested in moving to the Premier League in 2023.
That’s despite the fact that Bayern Munich have been chasing Laimer for months and would like to reunite him with his former Leipzig boss.
Many have expected Laimer to join Bayern on a free transfer but Liverpool suddenly have real hope of a January deal.
We can’t expect Liverpool to go and splash over £100million on Jude Bellingham in January, nor do we think Borussia Dortmund would sell until next summer at the earliest.
That means that if Liverpool want a January addition in midfield, it may have to be a more reasonably priced option.
Laimer would fit the bill given his contract situation and signing him wouldn’t take Liverpool out of the race for Bellingham in the summer.
