Liverpool are interested in signing Red Bull Salzburg attacker Karim Adeyemi after his outstanding start to the new season.
That’s according to Bild reporter Christian Falk, who made the claims on their ‘English Week’ segment.
Falk claims that Liverpool want Adeyemi, but so do Bayern Munich.
Adeyemi already had one spell with Bayern, but they already want him back.
Falk added that he spoke to Adeyemi earlier this week, and the feeling is that he will stay in Salzburg for one more year.
He did though add that Liverpool would be difficult for the 19-year-old to turn down if they did make a bid.
Falk has reliability on Liverpool in his past. Nine days before Liverpool signed Thiago from Bayern Munich, Falk claimed the deal was 80% done whilst many were saying it was on and off.
Adeyemi would be a great signing for Liverpool
Adeyemi is one of the most in-form teenagers across Europe right now.
The 19-year-old has bagged seven goals and one assist in eight league games. Add in a goal on his Germany debut and Adeyemi is red-hot right now.

With blistering pace, Adeyemi can be a versatile and dangerous goalscoring threat for Liverpool.
The Reds do need another striker down the line, especially with Roberto Firmino is almost 30.
Adeyemi has enormous potential over the next 10-15 years, which is just what Michael Edwards likes.
If there is even a glimmer of hope that Adeyemi can be lured to Anfield, Liverpool simply have to push for the deal.
