Julian Nagelsmann is being touted as a potential replacement for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool amid a belief that he would jump at the chance to take the job.
That’s according to a report from Caught Offside, who claim that Klopp’s position in the Anfield dugout is now under threat.
It’s suggested that Klopp’s future had been discussed even before the 5-2 Champions League humiliation at the hands of Real Madrid on Tuesday night.
Klopp would allegedly be given the chance to resign as a mark of respect for his legacy at Anfield after nearly eight years in charge.
The report claims that Nagelsmann has been identified as a potential successor and sources believe he would jump at the chance to manage Liverpool.
The 35-year-old has been in charge of Bayern for almost two years now but not everybody has been loving his work in Bavaria.
Still highly regarded in the game, Nagelsmann would be a massive coup for Liverpool if they do go for him whenever Klopp leaves the club.

Julian Nagelsmann is exciting but Jurgen Klopp surely won’t leave Liverpool
Look, we get it – the defeat to Real was absolutely catastrophic.
Losing 5-2 having been 2-0 up was an absolute shambles and Liverpool’s defending was alarmingly bad.
Yet it’s easy to forget that many thought Liverpool were ‘back’ before this game after strong wins over Everton and Newcastle United.
Liverpool have just been up and down all season and the truth is that this Reds side isn’t quite good enough to challenge Real Madrid right now.
Klopp needs to be allowed to build a new Liverpool side and usher in a new era at Anfield rather than replaced this summer.
We can understand the appeal of going for Nagelsmann, who Klopp himself has even admitted he admires.
Yet a move to replace Klopp just seems hard to imagine and prising Nagelsmann away from Bayern – even with some doubters in Munich – just doesn’t feel likely.
