Liverpool have increased hope of a deal for Jude Bellingham as the midfielder prepares to reject a new contract with Borussia Dortmund.
That’s according to the Daily Star, who report that Bellingham is now expected to reject the terms on offer from Dortmund.
The Bundesliga club are ready to give Bellingham a huge deal worth £180,000-a-week deal to stay at Signal Iduna Park.
That’s double Bellingham’s current wages but the feeling inside Dortmund is that nobody seriously thinks he will sign.
Dortmund may now need to get used to the notion of Bellingham leaving this summer in a deal that will surely top £100million.
The report notes that five clubs – Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid – are now expected to fight it out for Bellingham.

Manchester City confident of beating Liverpool to Jude Bellingham
The report claims that Manchester City are now confident they will sign Bellingham.
The prospect of working under Pep Guardiola and reuniting with Erling Haaland is thought to be appealing to Bellingham.
Yet Liverpool will still have hope until the every end.
They can’t offer the money that City can, and they may not even have Champions League football to offer after a disappointing season.
However, The Mirror reported in December that Bellingham’s father Mark favours seeing his son sign for Liverpool over other clubs.
Bellingham’s father allegedly played a key role in the midfielder picking a move to Borussia Dortmund from Birmingham City back in 2020 despite interest from English clubs.
Bellingham clearly takes his father’s word into consideration and Liverpool will have major hope of a deal.
Jurgen Klopp’s relationship with Dortmund may help too, whilst Liverpool’s midfield is in such a state that Bellingham would immediately make that area of the team his own – something that may not be the case with City.
Liverpool will try and sell Bellingham on factors outside of money – and his expected decision to snub Dortmund’s new offer paves the way for a big decision in the coming months.
