Gary Neville thinks Liverpool ace Jordan Henderson may believe his World Cup days with England are coming to an end after losing to France.
England headed into their World Cup quarter final with France knowing that victory would tee up a semi-final clash with Morocco.
Aurelien Tchouameni hammered France in front, only for Harry Kane to level it up from the spot after Bukayo Saka was fouled.
England looked to be seizing the game but were hit as Oliver Giroud headed home Antoine Griezmann’s cross to send France through.
The Three Lions did get one more golden chance as Mason Mount won another penalty, only for Kane to send it over the bar.
That was that; England are out in the quarter-finals once again and the fallout is well underway.

Gary Neville comments on Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson
On the one hand, England will be encouraged by young players like Phil Foden, Bukayo Saka and Jude Bellingham.
Yet there will end up being questions about how England use players like Kyle Walker, Harry Kane and Harry Maguire in the years to come.
Then there is Jordan Henderson.
Henderson is the second-oldest player in the England World Cup squad – only Walker is older than him, and that’s just by a few weeks.
Henderson didn’t start England’s first two games but ended up starting in the last three having forced his way into Gareth Southgate’s lineup.
The 32-year-old will turn 34 during the 2024 European Championships and then 36 for the next World Cup.
Some will now wonder whether Henderson will still be part of England’s plans moving forward; there’s nobody over the age of 32 in Southgate’s squad.
Pundit Gary Neville has now had his say after seeing Henderson speaking to the media following the full-time whistle.
Neville told Sky Sports that Henderson will naturally be thinking that his World Cup days could be over given his age and the four-year wait for another chance.
Henderson won’t be alone in that regard but Neville is thinking about the Liverpool ace and his England future after last night’ defeat.
“I look at some of the lads last night – Jordan Henderson, obviously at his age, doing that interview where you think… in the back of his mind, he’ll be thinking ‘am I coming here again? Am I coming to the World Cup again?’ Those sorts of things go through my mind this morning,” said Neville.
