Lille consider red-hot striker Jonathan David untouchable after recent speculation linked him with a big move to Liverpool.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who claim that Lille need to sell player to balance the books.
That comes despite selling Mike Maignan and Boubakary Soumare over the summer.
Winger Jonathan Ikone, defender Zeki Celik and midfielder Renato Sanches are potential sales to help Lille’s financial predicament.
However, Lille won’t consider selling David amid claims he is on Liverpool’s radar for a potential move.
Liverpool target David in blistering form this season
The Liverpool rumours emerged from TSN in David’s home country of Canada.
They claimed in August that Liverpool are keen on David and want to bring him to Anfield.

Since then, David has been on fire in front of goal. With eight goals in 13 Ligue 1 games, David can’t stop scoring.
David even bagged the winner for Canada against Costa Rica on Saturday.
Liverpool do need another attacker come January, with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane set to head off to the Africa Cup of Nations.
David can certainly give Liverpool another goalscoring threat, but it sounds like they would need to come up with a huge offer to get Lille to sell.
