Liverpool want Jhon Duran and are aware that around €10million (£8.7million) will be enough to bring him to Anfield in 2023.

The Reds always looking for talent and their recent business has shown that they are looking towards the future.

Playmaker Fabio Carvalho and right back Calvin Ramsay both arrived over the summer to give Jurgen Klopp some exciting first-team talent.

Further down the ranks, Ben Doak and Trent Kone-Doherty have also joined with Liverpool looking to make sure another generation of quality is ready and waiting.

Liverpool want Jhon Duran

Liverpool could look for more young talent and, sure enough, a teenager is being linked with a move to Anfield.

Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra – who broke the news of Liverpool signing Luis Diaz from Porto back in January – now has more news about the Reds.

Sierra claims that Liverpool fancy Chicago Fire striker Jhon Duran and have sent a scout to watch him in action – the same scout who tracked Diaz before his move to Anfield.

It’s stated that Liverpool are aware that €10million (£8.7million) would be enough to lure Duran to the Premier League.

Lille, Eintracht Frankfurt and PSV Eindhoven are also interested in Duran though so Liverpool will face a real battle for his signature.

Duran, 18, only joined Chicago Fire from Envigado in Colombia earlier this year but he is already attracting major interest.

Duran has played in 26 MLS games this season and has racked up eight goals and five assists, showing enormous potential over in the United States.

The teenager even has two Colombia caps to his name at such a young age and has played alongside Diaz for his country, even replacing the Liverpool man as a substitute against Mexico last week.

The chance to join Diaz at club level would surely appeal to Duran and Liverpool are seemingly tracking him ahead of a 2023 move.

January may be a little too soon for Duran to make the big move but if other clubs show a strong interest, Liverpool may have to strike earlier than planned – just as they did for Diaz.
