Jamie Carragher has hailed Liverpool’s Thiago after the midfielder produced a wonderful assist for Sadio Mane against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Liverpool went into the final day of the Premier League season needing a huge favour from Aston Villa, Steven Gerrard and Philippe Coutinho.
Liverpool had to take care of their own business too but fell behind within seconds as Pedro Neto stunned Anfield.
Sadio Mane equalised for the Reds and with City 2-0 down against Villa, Liverpool sensed an opportunity.
Yet by the time Mohamed Salah made it 2-1, City had roared all the way back to lead 3-2 and end Liverpool’s title hopes.
Andrew Robertson added a third as Liverpool secured a 3-1 win but it wasn’t enough to win the title.
The attention turns to the Champions League final but midfielder Thiago is in a race against time.
Jamie Carragher has hailed Liverpool’s Thiago
Thiago produced the standout moment of quality from the first half against Wolves.
The Spanish midfielder is known for his magic in the middle of the park and we saw that again on Sunday.
Thiago produced a nonchalant flick, back heeling the ball through to Mane whilst leaving the Wolves defence stunned.
If anybody is somehow still not convinced by Thaigo, this moment of immense quality has surely won them over.

The problem for Liverpool is that Thiago has taken a blow to his leg and must now get himself fit to face Real Madrid.
Still, there should be plenty of praise for that assist against Wolves and Jamie Carragher was absolutely blown away.
Speaking to Sky Sports (22/05, 4:24pm), Carragher branded Thiago’s assist ‘absolutely sensational’ and ‘out of this world’, noting that he plays like he has eyes in the back of his head.
“Mane is the scorer but Thiago’s role in this goal is absolutely sensational,” said Carragher. “That guy has got eyes in the back of his head and that just illustrates it.”
“That is out of this world from Thiago,” he added.
