Jamie Carragher has hailed Ibrahima Konate after his performance during Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds were looking for a big win in North London and got exactly what they wanted.
Mohamed Salah fired Liverpool ahead before racing clear to score from Eric Dier’s mistake.
Harry Kane’s second-half goal did give Tottenham hope but Liverpool managed to hang on for all three points under major pressure.

Jamie Carragher has hailed Ibrahima Konate
This was another win with defender Konate in the side.
The Frenchman has endured injury problems this season, suffering a blow in pre-season before picking up another injury almost immediately after his return.
Now back again, Konate’s influence cannot be overlooked.
Konate started against Rangers and Napoli in the Champions League, two games Jurgen Klopp’s men won.
Konate then came into the side against Tottenham and, would you believe it, Liverpool won again.
Joe Gomez has been very up and down this season; brilliant against Manchester City, shaky against both Nottingham Forest and Leeds United.
That has opened the door for Konate to come in and it looks like he will now be Virgil van DIjk’s main centre back partner – at least with Joel Matip out injured.
Konate, 23, has almost always looked brilliant when given chance in the Liverpool side and the Reds must think they have a top-drawer centre back on their hands – if he can stay fit.
Jamie Carragher has now heaped praise on Konate, taking to Twitter to claim that he simply makes Liverpool ‘quicker and more powerful’.
Carragher added that Salah was ‘sensational’ and that Darwin Nunez ‘caused mayhem’, but it’s clear that Carragher absolutely loves Konate in that Liverpool defence.
Konate will now hope to stay fit and nail down a starting role beyond the World Cup, and most Liverpool most fans would prefer to see him in the side than Gomez right now.
