James Milner is staying at Liverpool after agreeing a new contract – and rejecting two Premier League offers in the process.
The Reds look set for more changes this summer with a number of departures on the horizon.
Divock Origi is on his way whilst Adrian San Miguel, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Takumi Minamino are likely to follow.
Add in the high-profile exit of Sadio Mane to come and Liverpool are facing a summer upheaval.
Fortunately for Jurgen Klopp though, James Milner looks set to sign a new contract and stay at Liverpool for another year.
James Milner is staying at Liverpool
Milner was set to become a free agent at the end of June, meaning Liverpool have left this one quite late.
Yet Milner’s priority always seems to be for an extended stay at Anfield.
The Times report that Milner has even accepted reduced terms to stay at Liverpool for another year.
Milner allegedly had interest from teams outside of England but has chosen to stay with the Reds.
The Athletic have more on that claim, suggesting that one Major League Soccer team had made an offer for Milner.
It’s also added that two Premier League offers came Milner’s way but a deal with Liverpool is expected to be confirmed this week.

It’s unclear just who wanted Milner, but many Premier League teams would have loved a player like Milner – even at 36.
Milner’s hometown club Leeds United would surely love to bring the midfielder back to Elland Road before he retires and adding his character could have been huge after their relegation fight.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe and Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard have both spoken very highly of late.
Just like Leeds, Newcastle and Villa have utilised Milner in the past and may have been keen to re-sign him.
No matter who it was though, it seems that Milner has said no in favour of one more year at Liverpool with no signs of slowing down.
