Liverpool should attempt to gatecrash Everton’s reported interest in the PSV ace.

Liverpool have not signed anyone of note this summer, but they could lift the mood at Anfield by making a last ditch move to sign reported Everton target Steven Bergwijn (Daily Mail).
The Reds have arguably the most exciting attacking line-up in world football, but should one of either Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino or Mohamed Salah suffer a long-term injury, the Merseyside club could be in trouble.
And Bergwijn would be ideal for Klopp’s setup.
The Dutchman, 21, can play anywhere along the front-line, is strong with both feet, possesses rapid pace, and plays with a certain kind of directness that would see him slot perfectly into the Liverpool side.
He was in sensational form for PSV last season too, racking up 14 goals and 12 assists in 33 Eredivisie outings.
Bergwijn could very well go on to become a real superstar in the game, and he would surely improve beyond all recognition under the guidance of Klopp.

He could be available for a relative bargain as well.
FC Inter News claimed earlier this summer that PSV could sell him for around £36 million, and in today’s day and age, that would represent excellent value for money for Liverpool.
And beating Everton to his signature would make it all the sweeter for Reds fans.
