Merseyside born Jones is a special talent, who signed a new long term contract with Liverpool last month, explaining he dreams of captaining the club.
Like Saka, Jones is 18, and has had a glimpse of first team action so far, just not in the Premier League or Europa League.
Jones made his competitive debut in the EFL Cup last week in the win over MK Dons, playing all 90 minutes.
It is tough for the teenager, as he sits behind a genuinely world class front three of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
Arsenal’s attack is, with respect, not so well oiled and clinical and this has made it easier for Saka to make his breakthrough.
Credit to him, he looks outstanding, but Jones could get the chance to go head to head with Arsenal in the next round of the Carabao Cup.
