Reported Liverpool target Isak Bergmann Johannesson is a Manchester United fan but is refusing to rule out a move to Anfield in the near future, speaking to AftonBladet.
While United’s recruitment has come under fire in the post-Sir Alex era after a series of big-money flops, the Premier League champions have mastered the transfer market since Jurgen Klopp arrived in 2015 to bring back the good times.
Liverpool seem to have a knack of unearthing rough diamonds from across Europe before turning them into household names.
And Johannesson, in many ways, is the archetypal Liverpool signing.
He may be a youngster but, with 14 goals and assists in just 26 matches during a stunning breakthrough season at Norrkoping, this kid is clearly something special.
However, with Man United joining Liverpool in sending scouts to watch Johannesson in action, the Swedish starlet may have a tough decision to make in 2021.

“Manchester United is my favourite team but Norrkoping is my dream club. I lived in Manchester when my dad played there and watched many matches,” says Johannesson, son of former Burnley, Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Joey Gudjonsson.
If Klopp comes calling, however, don’t assume Johannesson will choose his heart over his head.
“You can’t say (that I will not sign for Liverpool)!” he says with a laugh. “They’re playing good football now. City and Liverpool have been great.”
