The Liverpool right-back can become a key player for the club over the next decade.

For all their attacking prowess, Liverpool still have some defensive issues that need to be resolved sooner rather than later by their manager Jurgen Klopp. But they also have some of the most exciting young players in the game, including full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.
With Nathaniel Clyne currently side-lined, his fellow right-back has been given the chance to stake a claim of his own, and Alexander-Arnold showed enough against Spartak Moscow to suggest he is a star in the making.

In particular, the 18-year-old’s attacking intent and crossing ability was on show, as time and again he delivered dangerous balls into the box, and Liverpool have a player with all the hallmarks of a modern-day full-back.
While the Liverpool youngster still has his critics, it is important to remember how young he is, in a position where youth does not always excel, and Alexander-Arnold has dealt well with the pressure he has faced early in his fledgling career.

Liverpool are still a work in progress, something their supporters are well aware of, but in a few years they could be the dynamic, all-conquering team of old if they trust in Klopp and show patience to their next generation of players.
Watching Alexander-Arnold against Spartak was a tantalising glimpse of the future and given what he is already showing, he could be a standout star at Anfield once he moves into his twenties.
