Jurgen Klopp has given Liverpool a triple fitness boost in the build up to their match against Sheffield United this weekend, with his comments to the Liverpool Echo.

Liverpool get the Premier League action underway tomorrow in the early kick off, and they could be aided by the return to fitness of both Sadio Mane and Divock Origi.

The attacking pair have both sat out of Liverpool training all week, but have now made a successful return.

Klopp also suggests that Alisson is edging closer to making it off the treatment table, as he looks to take his place in goal back.

“Both Origi and Mane trained yesterday, No issues,” Klopp revealed.

“Alisson is in a good way. Not with us but a full session. He is getting closer and closer. Ali is not in contention for tomorrow. It looks like he can train with the team from Sunday.”

Alisson’s comeback is great news for Liverpool, as it should make their defence even stronger.

The Brazilian has, however, been well covered for by Adrian, who looks set to continue in goal tomorrow.

Adrian was only brought to Anfield over the summer, but he has shown his quality in recent weeks, despite being thrown in at the deep end.

Liverpool are heavy favourites to win at Bramall Lane tomorrow and if they manage to win, their lead at the top of the Premier League table will be extended to eight points, before the 3pm games start.
