Liverpool are again being linked with Kylian Mbappe, this time with loan talks allegedly held over the Paris Saint-Germain superstar.

Kylian Mbappe could be offered an escape route from Paris Saint-Germain with Liverpool allegedly keen on a loan move.

That is according to a report from The Mirror, who claim that Liverpool are keen to take Mbappe on loan.

It’s stated that talks have now been held and Liverpool are offering a one-year loan deal for Mbappe.

The superstar forward is at loggerheads with PSG; he’s out of contract in 2024 and wants to see out his deal whereas PSG want to sell now.

Real Madrid have so far been unwilling to pay up for Mbappe and that leaves the entire situation in limbo.

Liverpool are now allegedly hoping to see Mbappe join on loan for a year, paving the way for him to join Real next summer.

The report claims that Liverpool have been given encouragement over such a deal with Mbappe thought to have real respect for the club.

Agent and mother Fayza Lamari is also thought to be a Liverpool admirer, giving hope of a season-long loan.

We can’t see Kylian Mbappe heading to Liverpool on loan

Despite those factors, we still can’t really see this one happening.

PSG seem ready to play hardball and a season-loan loan surely won’t be in their plans.

They seemingly suspect that Mbappe has agreed a deal with Real for 2024 and will want to sell up right now.

Liverpool also have other problems to deal with right now – rebuilding their midfield.

Jordan Henderson has moved on to Saudi Arabia and Fabinho looks likely to follow him very soon.

Liverpool need to invest in multiple midfield signings, which will of course take up most of their budget.

Mbappe would of course be an unbelievable, game-changing signing for Liverpool and may be worth breaking plans for – if a deal can be done.

The move just seems hard to believe at the moment and we’re expecting Liverpool to be making other signings rather than landing Mbappe.
