Liverpool are set to sign Fulham talent Fabio Carvalho this summer and he was able to celebrate promotion in emphatic style on Monday night.
Liverpool went for Carvalho on deadline day in January but just ran out of time to get him on board and loan him back to Fulham.
The Reds have maintained their chase though and are set to announce the signing of Carvalho with a medical ‘already completed’ according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Liverpool Echo have added that Carvalho will go straight into Liverpool’s first-team having agreed terms.
Carvalho has been trying to stay focused on Fulham’s promotion push but there is only one game to go now.
Carvalho started on Monday as Fulham ran riot in a staggering 7-0 thrashing of Luton Town at Craven Cottage.
The 19-year-old bagged the third Fulham goal with a superb finish as Marco Silva’s side were in party mode.
Co-commentator Don Goodman was left blown away on Sky Sports, hailing Carvalho’s potential.
“It’s a brilliant finish from Carvalho,” said Goodman. “It’s the kind of finish that highlights why this young man is going right to the very very top, without question,” he added.
Liverpool-boudn Carvalho even bagged an assist with a brilliant defence-splitting pass for Bobby Decordova-Reid.
This was seemingly Carvalho’s final home game as a Fulham player and he signed off in style, even earning praise from teammate Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Mitrovic told Sky Sports that he thinks Carvalho is ‘amazing’ whilst predicting a ‘big future’ for the playmaker.

“What can you say? Amazing,” said Mitrovic. “To be honest, I can’t find the words to describe him. He is an amazing young boy who loves football so much, who enjoys every training session and works so hard. He wants to learn always, he is so calm. I want to say it’s a big future ahead of him but we’ll see what happens,” he added.
It’s clear that everybody who sees Carvalho in action thinks that he will become a star in the coming years.
That future appears to be with Liverpool, who will be delighted to have won the race for Carvalho in plenty of time for the summer transfer window.
There will seemingly be no drama over Carvalho’s signing this summer, no U-turns, no missing out.
Liverpool appear to have landed a real wonderkid in Carvalho and his latest display summed up why there is enormous hype over him.
