It would be fair to say that Mario Balotelli has not had the best of years.
The Italian has lost his place in the Azzurri squad, been a flop at Liverpool and failed to make a significant impact since joining AC Milan on loan in the summer.
The 25-year-old striker cost Liverpool £16 million in August last year, as reported by the BBC.
But he flopped at Anfield. He played just 12 games for Liverpool after the turn of the year, scoring twice.
Since moving to Milan on loan he has played just four times because of injury and this is a year he will want to put behind him.
