Liverpool fans are growing increasingly anxious about their striker situation with Daniel Sturridge set to depart.
Liverpool have not made good use of Sturridge this season, but having him as back-up has had fans’ minds at ease, as he is a proven Premier League goalscorer.
Now with Sturridge set to exit, fans are worried that back up strikers Danny Ings and Dominic Solanke are simply not good enough.


An injury to first choice Roberto Firmino will put see one of Ings or Solanke given a prominent role.
And for a side chasing a top four spot and competing in the Champions League last 16, that simply is not good enough.
The Reds have chosen not to get involved in battling Arsenal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and have not had their eye on any cheaper strike options either.
Whether manager Jurgen Klopp or the club’s infamous transfer committee is responsible for this stance is unclear, but it could be a costly one.
