The Liverpool star has barely featured for Jürgen Klopp’s side in recent weeks.

Liverpool are in desperate need of a victory away at Southampton tonight, as they look to climb back into top spot in the Premier League table, and some Reds fans urged Jürgen Klopp to start Xherdan Shaqiri at St Mary’s.
The Merseyside outfit can go two points clear of Manchester City with a win against the Saints tonight, although they would have played a game more than Pep Guardiola’s side.
Klopp’s men have lacked creativity from midfield in recent weeks and months, and the German might have to move away from his solid midfield three of Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and GIni Wijnaldum, if his side are to break down what has become a stubborn Southampton side.
And some Liverpool fans are calling for Shaqiri to start the game.
The 27-year-old joined Liverpool from Stoke City in the summer of 2018, for around £13 million, but he has started only 11 Premier League games thus far.

Shaqiri has still managed to chalk up six goals and three assists in 26 appearances in all competitions, though.
He could make the difference tonight if he is on his best form, however, and many Liverpool fans urged Klopp to pick the Switzerland international in his starting XI…
