West Bromwich Albion decided that enough was enough on Monday morning, as they chose to sack manager Tony Pulis after nearly three years in the job.
Pulis saw his Baggies side lose 4-0 at home to Chelsea on Saturday afternoon, meaning West Brom have won just two of their last 21 Premier League games.
The Welshman had turned Baggies fans against him this season, and West Brom called time on his stint in The Hawthorns dugout less than 48 hours after that defeat to Chelsea.
Pulis, 59, now finds himself out of a job, with immediate links to the vacant Wales job emerging, but another vacancy is with Everton.
The Toffees sacked Ronald Koeman last month, but have yet to find a replacement for the Dutchman, with caretaker boss David Unsworth still in charge.
The likes of Sam Allardyce and Marco Silva have been mentioned for the job, but with the search still on, Pulis has immediately become a 20/1 shot with bookmakers to land the Everton role.
Everton fans would almost certainly hate such an appointment, but Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to suggest that Pulis is the perfect manager for their rivals.
Reds supporters attempted to poke fun at Everton, suggesting that the Toffees need a manager like Pulis to come in and save them from relegation, even joking that the Toffees would be a step down for the former Stoke boss as they take great enjoyment from Everton’s struggle to find a manager.
