Liverpool fans want Timo Werner to follow Naby Keita to Anfield.
Naby Keita produced a marvellous assist last night as RB Leipzig beat Zenit St Petersburg.
Liverpool fans were understandably overawed by Keita’s impressive run and pass, but Timo Werner’s exquisite finish attracted also as many plaudits.
It was the German striker’s 17th goal of the season, and follows a brace against Napoli in the previous round.
Werner is just 22-years-old and is looking like the prolific striker Germany have been trying to find for the past decade.
Liverpool fans were left hoping that the Reds will make a move for Werner too, and he will end up following Naby Keita to Anfield.
Werner is Germany’s answer to Harry Kane and Leipzig losing Keita shows that potentially he could be available at the right price too.
If fans can forgive him this statement, Werner could be an astute addition. Getting the chance to keep playing alongside Keita would surely be a big plus in the Reds’ favour.
