Should Liverpool make a move for Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil?

While Liverpool coped easily without Philippe Coutinho against Manchester City, they really missed him last night against Swansea City.
The Reds were beaten 1-0 and managed only four shots on target despite controlling possession with 72 per cent.
With the transfer window still open, Liverpool fans’ minds are on reinforcements, and a potential solution could be at competitors Arsenal.
World Cup winner Mesut Ozil’s contract at Arsenal is running down and fans are wondering whether a bargain move could become viable.

Ozil will be available at the end of the current season on a free transfer – a coup for any club considering Arsenal paid £42 million to sign him in 2013.
The 29-year-old has six assists this season – the same number Philippe Coutinho managed before his £142 million switch to Barcelona.
Ozil has limitations, with fans questioning his work ethic, and whether he would fit into Jurgen Klopp’s pressing game is a point of contention.
His quality on the ball however would be valuable, and could have made the difference last night.
Here is a look at what Liverpool fan have been saying about a potential switch…
