Liverpool will face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League this weekend, and Michael Owen has predicted a win for the Reds.
Liverpool fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to urge manager Jurgen Klopp to start Sadio Mane against Arsenal this week.
The Reds will return to action on Friday evening when they take on Arsenal away from home at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League.
The Merseyside outfit will head into the match against the Gunners on the back of a 4-0 hammering of Bournemouth away from home at the Vitality Stadium in the league.
Mane was an unused substitute in the game, and Liverpool fans want the 25-year-old winger to start against Arsenal in North London on Friday evening.
The 25-year-old Senegal international winger is one of the best players in the Premier League and is a key figure in the current Liverpool team.
The former Southampton star has scored four goals and provided three assists in 10 Premier League starts for the Reds so far this season.
Meanwhile, former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has backed the Merseyside side to pick up all three points against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Friday evening.
Owen wrote on Betvictor.com: “Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are the first team in top-flight English football to have won four successive away league games by three or more goals and I think Arsenal will find the Reds potent attacking threat too hot to handle on Friday.
“Arsenal have won 13 of their last 14 home games in the Premier League and will be desperate for revenge having been thrashed 4-0 in the reverse fixture at Anfield.
“The Gunners may score in the first game of the Festive period – I just think Liverpool will score more in what promises to be a real Christmas cracker.
“Congratulations to Mo Salah who became the first PL player to reach 20 goals in all competitions so far this season. He has been quite magnificent for the Reds so far this term.”
A footnote added: “Tip: Liverpool to win and both teams to score at 27/10.”
