Should Liverpool move for Leon Bailey?

Liverpool supporters are keen for the club to sign a creative replacement for Philippe Coutinho – and believe the ideal player is starring currently for Bayer Leverkusen.

Leon Bailey is just 20-years-old and has had a sensational season for Leverkusen so far.

On Sunday evening he took it up a level, scoring a stunning long-range strike in the Bundesliga.

Jamaican international Bailey was signed from Genk for just £12.8 million in the summer and is now said to be worth almost triple that.

The Mirror reported last month that he is considered to have a valuation around £30 million, with Arsenal, Chelsea and both Manchester clubs keen.

Bailey’s goal last night could see that figure rise, especially for any clubs slapping in late offers before the transfer deadline.

The winger has now netted 10 goals this season, providing five assists too for good measure, and he now has four goals in his last four games.

Liverpool are coming off back to back defeats to Swansea City and West Brom, and fans are hoping for an additional signing to be made before the deadline.

Nobody would be complaining if that turns out to be Bailey…
