Leicester City lost 3-1 away at Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

Leicester City produced something of a Jekyll and Hyde performance on Monday night as they lost 3-1 away at Arsenal.
The Foxes were looking to spring a surprise and end Arsenal’s unbeaten run, and took the lead when Ben Chilwell’s run and cross ended in a Hector Bellerin own goal.
Arsenal were rocked but did hit back before the break, as Mesut Ozil brought the Gunners level, placing a fine shot into the net from Bellerin’s pull back.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was then brought on as a substitute, and he scored from another Bellerin cross before a stunning team move from Bernd Leno all the way through the pitch ended with Ozil squaring for Aubameyang to score again.
Leicester dazzled in the first half but were blown away in the second, and another defeat increases the pressure on manager Claude Puel – but playmaker James Maddison impressed once again.
The summer signing from Norwich City has starred in his first two months as a Premier League player and is surely knocking on the door for an England start having been Leicester’s brightest spark in the final third against Arsenal.

Liverpool fans were particularly impressed with Maddison, and took to Twitter to beg for Jurgen Klopp and even John Henry to sign Maddison in 2019, urging a £60million January bid for the playmaker.
Others rued the fact that Liverpool didn’t sign him before Leicester did, and believe that he could be the ideal replacement for Adam Lallana as a creative midfielder – but acknowledge that he will now cost huge money, with some simply telling the Reds to spend whatever it takes and to offer everything for the 21-year-old star.
