Barcelona are thought to be open to selling Gomes, and Everton are set to have to fight for his signature.
If Liverpool were to join the race for Gomes, he would have to battle with the likes of James Milner, Fabinho, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita for a place at Anfield.
