Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are reportedly set to appoint Steven Gerrard, and Liverpool supporters want him to take Dominic Solanke.

Dominic Solanke of Liverpool scores their teams third goal during the Pre Season Friendly match between Liverpool and Athletic Club at Aviva Stadium on August 5, 2017 in Dublin, Ireland.

Liverpool fans want Steven Gerrard to take Dominic Solanke on loan at Glasgow Rangers.

Gerrard is expected to take the job at Ibrox soon, and already there is an expectation that he will use his contacts at Liverpool to secure some signings for Rangers.

And one player who Liverpool fans are keen to see develop under Gerrard’s tutelage is Solanke.

Dominic Solanke of Liverpool shoot at goal during the Premier League match between Liverpool and Swansea City at Anfield on December 26, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

The youngster was brought to Anfield from Chelsea last summer in a £3 million deal, but he has struggled for goals in his first season at Liverpool.

Solanke has not scored in 19 Premier League appearances and Liverpool fans feel that a move to Rangers could be ideal for the striker’s development.

Rangers are likely to want to sign a striker in the summer, with Gerrard expected to ring the changes at Ibrox.

If Solanke was to move to Glasgow, he would be in competition with Alfredo Morelos and Jason Cummings for a first-team place.
