Liverpool fans have called on Jurgen Klopp to sign Arsenal star Jack Wilshere in January.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a move away from Arsenal next month, given that his contract expires in the summer and there doesn’t seem to be movement over an extension.

Wilshere has endured an injury-hit time in North London since exploding on to the scene over seven years ago but Liverpool fans were purring over his performance in the Gunners’ 3-2 win at Crystal Palace on Thursday night.

The England international looked back to his best in Arsene Wenger’s midfield and bagged a wonderful assist for Alexis Sanchez’s second of the night.

Emre Can is expected to leave Anfield in January and fans of the Merseyside club believe they have spotted a perfect midfield replacement.

On form, Wilshere is a beautiful footballer and he might just be tempted to leave the Emirates next month if Wenger remains reluctant to table an extension.

Based on that performance, he certainly has a chance of going to the World Cup with England but Aaron Ramsey is likely to displace him in Arsenal’s best XI when he returns from injury.

His World Cup hopes undoubtedly hinge on fitness and regular football in the second half of the campaign and if he feels as if his first-team chances are limited then he could well leave.
