Some Liverpool fans on Twitter are willing to let bygones be bygones and welcome Philippe Coutinho back to the club.
Coutinho quit the Reds to join Barcelona in a £142 million move back in January of 2018.
Despite the eye-watering fee, the Brazilian playmaker has flopped at Camp Nou and has endured a somewhat underwhelming loan spell at Bayern Munich since.
Coutinho, who spent five years as a Liverpool player, is heavily linked with a return to the Premier League, with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United reportedly on his tail.
But according to the back page of the Sunday World today [14/06], the 28-year-old has his heart set on a return to Anfield.
Here’s how Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter to the idea of bringing him back to Merseyside:
Liverpool have won a Champions League title since Coutinho left – and reached the final of another – and they’re about to win the Premier League, needing only two more wins to do so.
So really, Jurgen Klopp doesn’t need the former Inter Milan starlet back – and especially not for a reported £80 million [Sport] which, this climate, is far too much.
