The Reds duo have both been nominated for the Premier League’s April Player of the Month award.

Liverpool have proudly announced that Reds duo Mohamed Salah and Jordan Henderson have both been nominated for the Premier League’s April Player of the Month award.
In April, Jurgen Klopp’s charges won all four of their league fixtures, with Salah and Henderson playing key roles in the run.
Salah opened the month with an impressive goal away at Southampton before rifling home from long range against Chelsea, a strike which has also been shortlisted for Goal of the Month.
The Egypt international then scored twice in the Reds’ 5-0 hammering over Huddersfield Town to take his league tally for the season to 21 and put him top of the Golden Boot rankings.
Henderson, meanwhile, has impressed since being pushed up by Klopp into an advanced midfield role, scoring or assisting in three matches.
Liverpool announced the nominations with a website article they shared on their Twitter feed:
Here is how some of the Reds faithful reacted on the social media platform, and it seems as though Henderson is shading Salah in terms of which player they want to see recognised:
Salah and Henderson are up against Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, Manchester City’s Aymeric Laporte, Southampton’s Shane Long, Newcastle United’s Ayoze Perez, Jamie Vardy of Leicester City and Burnley’s Chris Wood.
