The Reds ace has impressed in the Premier League and Champions League but fails to make the cut for Tite’s side.

Despite an impressive 2019 with Liverpool in both the Premier League and Champions League, midfielder Fabinho has been overlooked for the Brazil squad to contest this summer’s Copa America on home soil.
Selecao boss Tite named a number of Premier League stars in his 23-man selection for the illustrious South American tournament, but the Reds midfielder was a notable omission along with Tottenham Hotspur’s Lucas Moura.
The former Monaco man endured a difficult few months at Anfield after joining for £43.7million [Sky Sports] last summer, but his form improved in the new year and he has become indispensable for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Here is what some Liverpool fans on Twitter have made of Fabinho’s omission from the Brazil squad:
Despite the absence of Fabinho and Moura there is a fair bit of Premier League representation as Ederson, Fernandinho and Gabriel Jesus of Manchester City, Liverpool duo Alisson and Roberto Firmino as well as Everton forward Richarlison all make the cut.
Brazil face Bolivia on 14 June, Venezuela on 18 June and then Peru on 22 June in their final group game.
