A number of Liverpool fans have been taking to Twitter to give their thoughts on the draw for the fourth round of the League Cup, which has given them a tie against fellow Premier League heavyweights Arsenal at Anfield.

The Reds ran out 2-0 winners over MK Dons on Wednesday as James Milner opened the scoring in the 41st minute before providing the cross for 17-year-old Ki-Jana Hoever to score his first senior goal in the 69th minute.

As for the Gunners, they put Nottingham Forest to the sword in a 5-0 hammering at the Emirates Stadium, with 18-year-old Gabriel Martinelli scoring twice for Unai Emery’s side alongside efforts from Rob Holding, Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson.

Here is what some of the Anfield faithful said on social media about the draw and the prospect of facing Arsenal after the Liverpool channel posted the draw announcement:

Liverpool have already beaten Arsenal this season, with Klopp’s side claiming a 3-1 win in the Premier League when the two locked horns back in August.

The tie, at Anfield, is scheduled to take place on the week beginning October 28.
