Liverpool have been linked with Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa.

Liverpool enjoyed a superb season, finishing second in the Premier League table with just one defeat to their name, and then winning the Champions League.

However, Jurgen Klopp will still be in the market for reinforcements this summer, and a versatile forward to play all across the frontline will be wanted.

Liverpool have been linked with a host of players that fit the bill, and Fiorentina ace Federico Chiesa is just one of the names touted for a move to Anfield.

Tuttomercatweb reported earlier this month that Liverpool are one of a number of clubs pursuing Chiesa, who hit 12 goals and nine assists for Fiorentina last season.

On Sunday, the 21-year-old was in action for Italy at the Under-21 European Championships, and he produced a sensational performance in a 3-1 win over Spain.

Chiesa showed outstanding control and dribbling to drive at the heart of the Spain defence before squeezing in a shot from a tight angle, and he then showed great anticipation to score the second.

Chiesa’s performance has attracted plaudits, and Liverpool fans have been taking to Twitter to urge Jurgen Klopp to sign him, believing that he can become an ‘absolute monster’ at Anfield.

Others praised Chiesa as a wonderful player, believing Liverpool should pay what it takes to sign the Italian after his superb Under-21 performance last night.
