Adam Lallana was one of a number of Liverpool players who struggled as Jurgen Klopp’s men suffered a Champions League defeat.

Several Liverpool fans on Twitter feel more convinced than ever that Adam Lallana is no longer good enough for the Reds after his disappointing performance during their Champions League defeat on Tuesday evening.

Jurgen Klopp’s side missed a fantastic opportunity to put one foot in the knockout stages of the competition as Red Star Belgrade scored twice in the first-half to secure a huge win.

It was not a good night for Liverpool who had the first golden chance of the game. Somehow however, Daniel Sturridge managed to volley over from around six yards out as he seemingly struggled to get over the ball.

The home side were two goals clear by the half-hour mark. And unfortunately the Premier League side could not capitalise despite spending most of the second-half – if not the game – camped in the final third.

Lallana was one of the attacking players who failed to make an impact. He was certainly not the only forward who struggled to impress, but, unlike a few of his teammates, he rarely looked like scoring despite gradually growing into the game.

It was a performance that left many Liverpool supporters insisting that it is time to move Lallana on as he is not playing at the kind of level that the club need. They certainly do not want to see Klopp hand the 30-year-old – who arrived for £25 million, as reported by the Guardian – anymore chances anytime soon.
