Some Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking Saul Niguez with a move to Anfield.

What’s the story?

According to AS, Liverpool are interested in signing Saul from Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window.

Manchester United and Manchester City also want the Spain international midfielder.

We covered the report here on HITC Sport.

Atletico are willing to sell the midfielder and will accept €40 million (£34.41 million) as transfer fee.

What are Liverpool fans saying?

As you can see from the tweets below, Liverpool fans are split over the prospect of signing Saul.

While some are in favour of manager Jurgen Klopp bringing in the 26-year-old, others are against a potential transfer.

Saul has been at Atletico his entire professional club football career so far.

The Spaniard is a very dynamic midfielder who has extensive experience in the Champions League.

Saul was also part of the Atletico team that reached the final of the Champions League in 2015-16.

The Atletico star made 22 starts and 11 substitute appearances in La Liga last season.

The midfielder scored two goals and gave one assist in those games.

Saul also played six times in the Champions League in 2020-21.
