Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against Cardiff City at the weekend.
The Reds maintained their challenge for the Premier League title this season with a 2-0 victory over Cardiff away from home at the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday.
After a goalless first half, Georginio Wijnaldum put Jurgen Klopp’s side in the lead in the 57th minute, and James Milner doubled the advantage for the home side from the penalty spot on 81 minutes.
Mignolet was an unused substitute for the match, and the 31-year-old Liverpool and Belgium international goalkeeper has taken to Twitter to revel in the win, with some fans of the Merseyside outfit responding to his message.
Mignolet is the second-choice goalkeeper at Liverpool at the moment and has not played even once in the Premier League this season.
According to a recent report in DH, the Reds are willing to sell the goalkeeper in the summer transfer window.
Mignolet has been on the books of Liverpool since the summer of 2013 when he joined from Sunderland for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £9 million and when Brendan Rodgers was in charge of the Reds.
