Leicester City lost 2-1 at Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.

Liverpool’s 100% winning start to the Premier League season continued on Saturday afternoon, beating Leicester City 2-1 in the last minute.
The Reds went into the game after wins over Sheffield United and Red Bull Salzburg, but knew they would face another tough task against an impressive Leicester side.
Liverpool went ahead in the first half as Sadio Mane latched on to James Milner’s pass, racing clear to slot past Kasper Schmeichel for the opener.
They failed to get the second though, and Leicester took their chance when it came as James Maddison fired through Adrian to make it 1-1, seemingly earning the Foxes a point.
However, there was a late twist in the tale, as Mane went down under Marc Albrighton’s injury-time challenge, and Milner stepped up to secure a last-gasp penalty.
Jurgen Klopp will be delighted to keep that 100% record going, and Leicester can at least take some heart from a battling performance at Anfield.

In fact, defender Caglar Soyuncu took to Twitter to react after the final whistle, suggesting that whilst Leicester lost the game, they ‘won something more’.
That comment left Liverpool fans baffled as Leicester went home empty-handed, with some accusing him of being ‘salty’ and ‘deluded’ for the remarks, even calling his mentality ‘Evertonian’ by thinking something matters more than winning.
