Wolverhampton Wanderers fell to defeat on Tuesday night, as they were beaten 1-0 away at Manchester United.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were looking to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat at Burnley, but suffered the exact same fate in their latest trip to the North West.

They came so close to nicking a point, but Marcus Rashford stole all three points for United with a deflected last-gasp strike.

Nuno won’t have much to shout about from the game, but he did give a first Premier League start to youngster Ki-Jana Hoever.

The Dutchman joined Wolves as part of the deal that saw Diogo Jota leave for Liverpool, but had played just 29 minutes of league action following his move to Molineux.

On Tuesday, Hoever was thrown into a starting role as a right wing back against United, with 90 minutes now under his belt in the top flight.

Hoever took to Twitter to admit he was proud to have made his first Premier League start, telling fans that he and the team ‘gave everything’.

Wolves fans were impressed, and it seems Liverpool fans were too, as they hailed him as a ‘starboy’ and felt he was ‘brilliant’.

Some even want Hoever to ‘come back soon’, feeling that his future is still at Anfield despite leaving last a few months ago.
