Woodburn bundled in an injury time goal to give Ryan Giggs’ rotated Wales side a victory.
Woodburn has had a torrid season and the goal will be a huge boost for him.
The highly rated teenager has seen his star wane as a result of a disappointing club campaign.
He could not break into the Sheffield United first team on loan and returned early to Liverpool. He has since been back playing with the under-23 team.
Even for the under-23s, Woodburn has not made a big impression, leaving Liverpool fans rightly worried whether he will make the breakthrough.
Last night was a small step in the right direction for the 19-year-old.
