Liverpool fans have taken aim at new Everton signing Moise Kean, after what he said in his first interview.

Kean’s move to Everton was officially announced over the weekend, with great excitement around Goodison Park over what the striker could do this season.

Kean has come in from Juventus and during his time in Italy he developed a reputation as one of the brightest prospects in Europe.

Everton have shown great ambition by getting Kean to move to Goodison Park, and the striker has lofty aims for his time on Merseyside.

He said to the Toffees’ official website: “I am used to winning and I want to bring this winning attitude to the team. I hope I will be very good on the field and bring the fans joy.”

The comments from the Everton new boy have caused some laughter among Liverpool supporters, who have suggested that they think he could struggle to get as many wins as he wants at the Toffees.

Everton were missing a clinical scorer all last campaign, but Kean should fill that void now.

The Italian international looks likely to start regularly for the Toffees this term, although it remains to be seen whether he will be given the nod to feature against Crystal Palace on the opening day of the new campaign.
