Liverpool suffered their first Premier League defeat since January, with Trent Alexander-Arnold enduring a miserable afternoon.

Liverpool fans have taken to social media to comment on Trent Alexander-Arnold’s performance during Jurgen Klopp’s side’s defeat to Manchester United on Saturday.
The Reds went into the game at Old Trafford knowing that a victory against Jose Mourinho’s men would lift them back into second place in the table, but they now find themselves five points behind United after suffering a 2-1 defeat.

Marcus Rashford got both of the home side’s goals inside the first 25 minutes, and both goals saw questions asked of the young Liverpool right-back.
Alexander-Arnold was turned too easily for the first and got a deflection on Rashford’s second, and a number of the visiting fans felt that his performance was a sign that he is not ready to be relied upon at right-back in the most important games.

The 19-year-old has been hugely impressive this season, performing well in both the league and Champions League, but some supporters felt that Klopp made a mistake not picking Joe Gomez, who remained an unused substitute in the defeat.
There has been some harsh criticism of the youngster, but many feel that it is simply a sign that he is not quite ready to be a first-team regular – though, most are not writing him off either as he has shown just how much potential he possesses.
Here is the best of the reaction…
