Leeds are linked with a move for Ryan Kent – but Liverpool fans wouldn’t mind keeping hold of him.
Championship sides Leeds United and Hull City are battling to secure the signing of winger Ryan Kent, report The Daily Mail.
Kent spent last season on loan at Championship side Barnsley, and faces a difficult task to break into the Reds’ first team after the record signing of Mohamed Salah.
Liverpool’s Ryan Kent in action
Kent did manage to get some action for Liverpool yesterday, coming off the bench in their Premier Asia Trophy 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.
The 20-year-old made a strong impression with his direct approach, posing problems for Frank de Boer’s side.
Liverpool fans were impressed, and took to Twitter to praise the young talent…
Leeds discovered first hand how good he can be last last season when he scored in a 3-2 victory for Barnsley against the Whites.
Barnsley’s Ryan Kent celebrates
That was one of just three goals he netted last season, with the campaign very much a learning curve for the youngster, and despite his talent, it showed he is not quite ready for the Premier League.
Another campaign in the Championship could be what he needs to try and kick on further, even though there are clearly Liverpool fans who believe he should remain at Anfield.
Both Leeds and Hull will be hoping they are Kent’s chosen team.
