Liverpool fans feel that Xherdan Shaqiri shouldn’t be sold this summer, as they believe he still has something to offer at Anfield.

Shaqiri only joined Liverpool last summer in a £12 million move from Stoke City (the Times), but his time on Merseyside could be short lived.

Shaqiri has failed to break into Liverpool’s starting line-up with any consistency this term, and has been reduced to playing a back-up role.

Goal now suggests that Liverpool could look to offload Shaqiri to fund other moves.

But Reds supporters are urging Jurgen Klopp to reconsider, as they believe Shaqiri remains a good option for them.

Shaqiri has made 30 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions this season, scoring on six occasions.

The Switzerland international has shown flashes of quality, but his failure to make big impact on games where he has started mean that he has only been used in a rotational role.

If Shaqiri was to leave Liverpool this summer, Klopp would most likely look to bring in another forward to replace him.
