Liverpool fans have been linked with a summer swoop for the 24-year-old midfielder.
According to a recent report from Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been asked to be kept informed of Rafinha’s situation at Barcelona, and that has understandably got Reds fans talking.
The Liverpool boss is allegedly prepared to pay between £26million and £36million for the 24-year-old, and given the ongoing links between Barca and Philippe Coutinho, it has not taken long for talk to turn to a potential player-plus-cash deal.

The simple fact is Liverpool are not going to sell the Brazilian maestro unless they get an offer too good to refuse, but Klopp may still have hopes of securing a deal for the Catalan club’s fringe player.
Rafinha has featured 78 times for Barcelona to date, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists in the process. However he only featured 18 times in La Liga last season, in part due to a series of minor injuries, and he may well be looking for a club where he can start more often than not.
That could happen at Anfield, where his ability to play both centrally and on the wing could come in very handy.
Liverpool have signed Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson so far this summer but Klopp will want at least a couple more new arrivals before the competitive action kicks off next month.

With Liverpool back in the Champions League and competing on four fronts next season, they need a strong squad to ensure they are not caught short when it really matters.
