Rangers have signed a number of former Liverpool players since Steven Gerrard’s arrival in 2018. There may well be another to come yet.
The Gers brought in Ovie Ejaria and Ryan Kent in Gerrard’s first season, then former Liverpool goalkeeper Andy Firth.
Kent joined permanently last summer whilst Sheyi Ojo arrived on loan, with Gerrard using his links with his former club to bolster his Rangers squad.
Now, Goal claim that Rangers want to sign Pedro Chirivella. It’s stated that Gerrard has received glowing reports about the Spaniard, and will challenge Nantes for his signature.
Chirivella is out of contract this summer, meaning he can join Rangers for free. The Liverpool Echo also state that Chirivella is poised to reject a long-term stay with the club.
That may just Rangers hope of a deal for the 22-year-old. Chirivella seemingly wants to play first-team football now, and that could come under Liverpool legend Gerrard.

Liverpool fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumours, believing that there is a ‘real player’ in Chirivella, believing that he may be like Luis Alberto in that he becomes a star elsewhere.
Others think that the time is right for Chirivella to move on, claiming that he has the quality to be a starter elsewhere having impressed in limited playing time this season – and one fan wants to see him go and star at Rangers.
