Liverpool have a vaunted attack under Jurgen Klopp, but he may well be keen on adding one more forward to his ranks in 2020.

Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah are one of the most dangerous attacking trios in world football, though the depth behind them may need some work.

Xherdan Shaqiri is out of favour whilst Rhian Brewster and Harvey Elliott are talents for the future, though Divock Origi has proven himself to be a decent option.

Now, Calciomercato claim that Liverpool are keen to land Ajax winger David Neres, and are eyeing up a 2020 move to sign the Brazilian forward.

Neres, 22, excelled last season, smashing 12 goals and 15 assists as he played a key role in Ajax’s remarkable run to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Formerly of Sao Paulo, Neres looks to have a bright future ahead of him, and could head to Anfield as a versatile attacker to fill in any of the three attacking roles for Klopp.

Intriguingly, The Telegraph reported earlier this year that Everton wanted to sign Neres, and with fans reacting to the rumour on Twitter, one fan is giddy at the thought of the outrage if Liverpool do manage to land him instead, which may be a common feeling if a move materialises.

Others want to see him come in as an upgrade on Xherdan Shaqiri out wide, and believe he should have been signed in the summer, though others don’t think he’s good enough, and would rather see Jadon Sancho arrive at Anfield.
