The Brazilian struggled for Liverpool today……..again.

Some Liverpool fans have been criticising Roberto Firmino on Twitter for yet another underwhelming display.
With the day that’s in it, quite a lot of people were literally at the races, but Firmino wasn’t there in a figureative sense as Liverpool beat Newcastle United at Anfield.
The Brazilian wasn’t completely lifeless, but he was largely ineffective and manager Jurgen Klopp hauled him off after the hour mark.
Firmino, signed by former Reds boss Brendan Rodgers, has only managed six goals in well over 20 appearances for the Merseyside club this season.
He certainly hasn’t been pulling his weight in terms of goalscoring, in comparison to recent seasons.
And some Liverpool supporters have questioned his performance today.
Firmino is a firm fan favourite among the Liverpool faithful, but they have every right to be frustrated with him today.
For whatever reason, the former Hoffenheim hitman simply doesn’t look as lethal as he has done under Klopp and it remains to be seen when he rediscovers his goalscoring touch.
There is nothing wrong with his energy and application, but you need more from an attacking player in Firmino’s role and fan frustration is justified.
